At the core of IoT Sources belief system is the knowledge factor that in order for IoT projects to be successful, the fusion of IT and OT must be iron-clad.  They must create a shared language, agree on desired outcomes and measure success exactly the same.  When this alignment is not forged prior to an IoT project launch, the likelihood of one side of the IT/OT equation deeming the project unsuccessful is increased significantly.

The vast majority of internet of things (IoT) projects are either at risk of failure or doomed to fail, with almost two-thirds stalling at the proof of concept stage, and only 26% of businesses reporting a successful project completion, according to a report released at Cisco’s IoT World Forum in London.
