Having been personally and professionally involved in the telecommunications industry for the better part of two and a half decades, I have seen enormous evolution, transformation and growth.  Even with all the tumult to work through, the telcos have not only survived – they have thrived.  While Communications is one of the six pillars that the IoT is built upon, one could argue that communications might actually be the most important pillar in the formula.  The POV in the following article describes why.
