Arrow Electronics has introduced a proprietary service that connects computing systems and communication systems to the Internet of Things.  They have created an IoT platform service called Arrow Connect, that supports two-way communications using a middleware approach to computing and communications. This service can connect things to things or things to systems.  Additionally, Arrow Connect can be used as an IoT data repository. Arrow Connect imbues a programmatic logic that can be used to monitor and invoke events based upon the data it reads.  The primary driver behind them utilizing a platform approach is the ability of the platform to combine independent systems.  What gives Arrow Connect such extensive system coverage capabilites is its significant collection of libraries and integrations. It does beg the question whether to buy it or build it?
