Intel and Arm have partnered to create a unified front that will simplify one of the IoT’s most challenging issues. This new partnership essentially streamlines the manufacturing and security deployment workflows for IoT initiatives. In a nutshell, this is a major coupe for end users and solution providers, since they will now be able to deploy either Intel or ARM devices seamlessly. Not only will this lower costs, but in addition will save hours when onboarding IoT devices. This new collaboration will also enable total flexibility when working with multiple data and cloud partners.
Intel wants to make it easier to securely onboard Internet of Things devices, so much so that it has teamed up with semiconductor rival Arm to provide more device flexibility.
The Santa Clara, Calif.-based company announced on Monday that it has expanded its Intel Secure Device Onboard solution to Arm-based devices, expanding the flexibility of IoT practitioners to automatically provision devices to the cloud platform of their choosing.
