For the past four years, the Eclipse Foundations’s IoT Developer Survey has been a key asset in identifying trends in the IoT marketplace. It consistently provides an up to date glimpse into the key challenges for those community members who are building IoT solutions, and what they are doing to address these challenges. The 2018 survey offered up some interesting findings. Some of the top line trends include:
- Amazon and Microsoft gain cloud traction while Google slips
- IoT data is finally getting used for more than just collection
- Consolidation of IoT messaging protocols
