It is not uncommon to see start-up companies lead the way in innovation when an ecosystem is in its infancy.  It is companies like the one profiled below that have the flexibility and nimbleness to design, develop and operate without fear of failure.  In fact, it is their agility itself that gives them their first-mover advantage.  I expect to see many more organizations like Thinnect emerge in the near term.  This will no doubt help spur the standards necessary to support the ubiquitous interconnectivity for IoT applications to operate across multiple industries.  

If you’re asked to name a country that’s a frontrunner in the promising field of the Internet of Things, Estonia may not immediately spring to mind. But one company wants to change that.
